Pre-Season Football Has Arrived!

On Friday night the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be in northeast Florida to face off with the Jacksonville Jaguars in each team's first pre-season game of the year. Lovie Smith will step onto the field for his inaugural game as Buccaneers head coach after a bevy of offseason moves that gave the Bucs a serious facelift on both sides of the ball. After an offseason where the Bucs cleaned house in the front office hiring new general manager, Jason Licht and an all new coaching staff along signing with a new starting quarterback in free agency. In this year's NFL Draft, for the first time in the history of the franchise the Buccaneers selected all offensive players with their draft picks, adding an influx of youth and talent to that side of the ball. Tampa Bay has high expectations for this season, with many network analysts such as Lorenzo Neal and Herman Edwards picking the Buccaneers to win the NFC South crown. Edwards even as far as to proclaim that Tampa will face the Pittsburgh Steelers in this years Super Bowl. The Bucs defense has the potential to be a dominant, top tier unit with depth at every position but the offense will be a work in progress, with five new starters on the offensive line and new starting QB. Brand new uniforms and an updated logo aren't the only new additions at One Buc Place this season. The Buccaneers Bulletin is here to provide you with breaking news and analysis on a daily basis.
