Receiving Prop Bets I Like for 2025

EVERYONE HAS THE DEGENERATE GAMBLER BUDDY THAT LOVES FUTURES AND PROP BETS, I MIGHT BE HIM 💰

 Receiving Yards

Rome Odunze OVER 850

Caleb Williams does not excite me but BIG ROME does, with a new offensive minded HC and the loss of Keenan Allen I'm expecting Odunze to have his fair share of big games opposite of DJ Moore this season.

Travis Hunter UNDER 750

Ever heard of fragile Frankie Mermon? Hunter will struggle to create separation and might be better suited as a cover corner instead of impact receiver as a rookie.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba OVER 975

Seattle lost their two most prolific pass catchers and new QB Sam Darnold will look to JSN early and often this season. Book it!

Emeka Egbuka OVER 675

I've been very BULLISH on this rookie who will start opposite of future first ballot HOF'er Mike Evans, dude is going to ball out this year.

Devante Adams OVER 925

Whether it's Stafford, Garrapolo or Bennett the genius that is McVay will make sure Adams gets plenty of looks and Devante will oblige.

Jake Ferguson OVER 550

Dinged up last year and looking to bounce back, with the addition of Pickens I'd imagine that Daks favorite safety blanket will be open quite a bit in 2025.

Tucker Kraft OVER 625

As the season went on last year JLove looked to Kraft more and more, he started to look like a prime Kittle down the stretch. This pick comes straight from Uncle Rico's van.

Touchdowns

Mike Evans OVER 7.5

EASY MONEY!

Jamar Chase OVER 10.5

BEST WR IN THE LEAGUE, I'M SAYING 15 TUDS

George Kittle OVER 6.5

HAVE YOU SEEN THEIR SCHEDULE?

Ladd McConkey OVER 6.5

LADD WILL CONTINUE TO BUILD ON HIS GREAT FINISH TO LAST YEAR

George Pickens OVER 5.5

DALLAS LOVES TO SLING THE PILL AND GEORGIE HAS A LEGIT QB AND LESS COVERAGE TO WORRY ABOUT NOW

PRE SEASON GAME 2 REACTION POST

I BOYCOTTED WEEK 1 DUE TO KYLE TRASK CONTINUING TO GET SNAPS

THIS WEEK IN JOINT PRACTICE THE BUCS REPORTEDLY DOMINATED THE STEELERS

THE STEELERS DON'T ALLOW REPORTING ON THE DETAILS OF PRACTICES

BUT THE WORD IS MIKE EVANS ABSOLUTELY CRUSHED JALEN RAMSEYS SOUL

5 TD's IN ONE PRACTICE? 😳😳😳😳

WEEK 2 TAKES

TEDDY BRIDGEWATER LOOKS THE PART OF QB2 LEADING THE BUCS ON TWO TD DRIVES TO START THE GAME. HE MADE TWO PROFESSIONAL TD THROWS TO IRVING AND EE9

EGBUKA made a sick TD catch that gave me those HINES WARD 2.0 vibes we mentioned previously

Sterling Shepard looks like he supplanted himself as WR5 but will see the field a lot with Godwin recovering and McMillan getting injured tonight.

"The Illusionist" Tez Johnson looked like a rookie at times but also showed the upside I mentioned in my draft takes post. HAD A NICE PUNT RETURN AND THEN FUMBLED ANOTHER.

HE SHOWED OFF THOSE ELUSIVE JUKE MOVES ON A SHORT CATCH OVER THE MIDDLE AND THEN DROPPED A POTENTIAL TD ona crossing route.

TEZ still shows WAY more upside than Jarrett

Defensive depth is a bit of a fear for me

We are already thin at Safety, Winfield hurt, JJ Roberts hurt, now Izien hurt. We might see Shilo starting

Maybe we should call Jordan Whitehead? or Sabby Piscatelli? Chris Conti anyone? 💀

Jacob Parrish is that dude #LICHTYEARSAHEAD

4 sacks and 3 picks ain't too shabby, let's see that against some starters though.

Can't wait to see Reddick and Diaby on the field together soon, IT'LL BE BLISS

Let's hope that last years second rounder Chris Braswell is not just a special teamer (1 sack tonight)

Josh Williams is DEF RB4, DUDE IS A HOSS 🤠

Chase McLaughlin is a top 3 kicker

WE ARE UNDEFEATED

GO BUCS

Offensive Line Appreciation Post

Bucs fans from Tampa to Timbuktu are freaking out about Tristan Wirfs injury but let's take a woooo-sahhh moment and appreciate how good this unit is. They're young but well established, the average age of the starting OL is just above 25 years old. Former lineman and NFL guru Brian Baldinger has been raving about the Bucs in general but specifically this OL, if anyone knows line play it's Baldy. Outside of Ben Bredeson we've drafted and developed all these guys and it's paid off big time. According to advanced stats the Bucs offensive line ranked 4th best in the league last year and had the second best QB pressure percentage. They also bolstered the 4th best overall block win rate at over 70%.

RT Luke Goedeke, one of the best right tackle's n the league. Luke is a mountain of a man and has an elite mustache to boot. He had a scary bout with a concussion last year that cost him four games but was dominant in his 13 games played. He now sports the mushy protective helmet which all offensive lineman should probably adopt. Goedeke is in a contract year and there's no chance Jason Licht lets him get out the door. He ranked 18th in the league last year for run blocking win rate but was hindered by penalties, accruing ten of them. That's almost one per game. Woof.

RG Cody Mauch is a mauler at right guard and an ironman, who looks like a hockey player (no front teeth). He's started 34 straight games for the Buccaneers. Early in his career TB fans wanted to throw this guy to the wolves, but this ND State product has become a stud and has been an integral part of our all-world offensive line. He ranked 11th in the league last year in pass block win rate while only being called for two penalties.

C Graham Barton entering his second season and reportedly has made big strides. Word from camp is Barton is picking up blitzes much better than what he did last year. He's a smart guy (Duke) and also a SWISS ARMY KNIFE who's played just about every position on the line. The Bay has come a long way from when we started the human rag doll Joe Hawley at C for two seasons. Except a big leap for Graham this season as the leader of the leagues most dominant o-line. (just a prediction, not investment advice)

LG Ben Bredeson is not liked by most Bucs fans who post on chatter boards, but what do they know? I would call him serviceable, middle of the road, PFF ranked him in the bottom 3rd of LG's in the league though. But he only gave up two sacks last year, he did register 6 penalties so there's definitely in that aspect. But remember when they rolled Ted Larsen the most penalized lineman ever out there for multiple years? It could be much worse.

LT Tristan Wirfs is building a HOF resume. The man who famously jumped out of a pool (I'm not sure that's actually possible). Called the best LT in the league for a few years now, he claimed the leagues best pass blocking win rate in 2024, allowing no sacks last season. He's set to miss the beginning of the season after having a clean up procedure done on his knee last month. He's the anchor of this unit so let's all hope for a speedy recovery for Wirfs.

PREDICTING THE FIRST EIGHT GAMES OF THE 2025 BUCCANEERS SCHEDULE

So it's the 50th Anniversary of our beloved Bucs, let's hope this season isn't at all reminiscent of the inaugural season. Predicting the entire season this early would be short-sided, so let's just start with the first half of the year.

The initial eight games of the Buccaneers schedule is what I'd call a mini gauntlet. They will be tested early and often in the beginning of the year, especially without their starting LT Tristan Wirfs for the first two games at the very least (likely 4 games). Also likely to miss time is TB hero Chris Godwin as he continues to recover from his injury suffered in week 12 of last year. There's a lot to like about Tampa's roster though, they've added depth on both sides of the ball and look to have an improved unit on defense to match their high powered but balanced offensive attack. Coaches and players alike continue to rave about the teams depth at training camp, Jason Licht has built one of the deepest teams in the NFL

Week 1
at Atlanta
If there's ever been a must win in game one this is it for Tampa. As Pedro Martinez would say, the Falcons have been our "Daddy" for the last few years, winning four of the last five matchups. Tampa's first four games on the schedule I'd consider to be lose-able so they need to grab this week one victory by the horns, you can't take the Falcons talented offense lightly. You know former Bucs HC Raheem Morris and his "youngry" QB Micheal Penix want to make a statement early so they'll be taking shots at this rookie ladened Buccaneers secondary. Getting after the second year QB will be paramount in this one, Tampa ranked 7th in the league last year in that department. Atlanta has loaded up on pass-rushers and they be looking to take advantage of us with no Wirfs protecting the blindside. Baker is going to have to fire early and often (hopefully quickly too), our pass catchers have a significant size advantage in this game. Expect new OC Josh Grizzard to let Mayfield sling it, Mike Evans is going to have a big day Week 1, get him in those DFS lineups.

Prediction: BUCS WIN 27-21

Week 2
at Houston
The Texans have a tough week one matchup at the Rams and will look to bounce back from what I predict to be a loss to studly stud Sean McVay and gunslinger Matthew Stafford. The first leg of a Monday night doubleheader this game begins at 7pm which is nice because I'm usually falling asleep by the fourth quarter of most PRIMETIME games. Stopping Joe Mixon will be priority number one in this matchup who should be healthy returning from offseason ankle surgery. Nico Collins torched the league last year.racking up 1,006 yards in just 12 games and newly acquired Christian Kirk will be a weapon for Stroud to work all levels of the field. Protecting Baker Mayfield might prove to be a tough task in this one without Wirfs on the blindside, Houston ranked 4th in the league last year in sacks. Getting the Buck Truck going early and utilizing the short passing game will be the key to keeping Baker upright in week 2.

Prediction: BUCS LOSE 28-24

Week 3
Jets
CREAMSICLE GAME! The Buccaneers will be repping the inaugural 1976 season with the throwback jerseys, let's hope for a better outcome in 2025. Expect this one to be a low scoring slugfest, the Jets are going to be a more disciplined, improved team under Aaron Glenn. Todd Bowles always seems to contain dual threat QB's well and the Jets don't have much speed at receiver outside of rookie Arian Smith from Georgia. So expect zone blitzes early and often in week 3. If Tampa can create some early turnovers there's a chance they can blow this one open, but Justin Fields only accounted for 5 turnovers in 10 games last season. Hopefully our ALL-PRO LT is back for the first home game of the year against what is sure to be a feisty Jets defense. It doesn't have to be pretty. just get the win and get ready to host the Super Bowl champs next week.

Prediction: BUCS WIN 19-16

Week 4
Eagles
The Bucs throttled the Eagles last season by 17 points, their other two losses all year were by a combined 4 points, so Tampa was kinda the second best team in the league, right? As stated previously Bowles defends non-pocket pasers with the best, so he'll look to lather on that special sauce two weeks in a row when the defending SB champs roll into town. The Eagles lost a lot on defense but GM Howie Roseman re-tooled quickly and I don't expect them to take a step back at all. Their offense is basically intact and will look to keep rolling along and putting up 30 a game, while AJ Brown looks for new sideline reading material. Scoring lots of points will be quite necessary in this one, so OC Josh Grizzard will need to take a heavy dip into his playbook like a Portillo's BIG BEEF sandwich (with sweet peppers) to keep pace in this matchup.

Prediction: BUCS LOSE 31-24

Week 5
at Seahawks
Tampa will be racking up the frequent flyer points this season as they go cross country a few times during the year. Our first venture to the west coast will be a bigger test than people would surmise, the Seahawks boast what I think is the best two-headed monster in the league at RB. Walker and Charbonnet sound like they'd be the opening act for Hall and Oats but these are two bad dudes toting the rock. Newly acquired Sam DAWNALD and Cooper Kupp will join JSN to form a formidable possession passing attack but they'll be heavily relying on MVS to stretch the field now that they've sent DK Metcalf packing. Mike McDonald has a talented defense to work with but they are thin so that could prove fatal for Seattle in a tough NFC West. Look for the Bucs to utilize their balanced offense attack to get back on track for their biggest margin of victory in the early part of the season. Expect a heavy dose of the Buck Truck in this game, or maybe we'll unleash our three-headed monster, give me some Sean Tucker in this blowout win.

Prediction: BUCS WIN 34-17

Week 6
Niners
After a tough 2024 San Fran will look to bounce back having the easiest SOS in the league. Coming off a Thursday night game, they'll have ten days to get ready for their trip to Tampa which I don't like for the Bucs. Purdy has absolutely torched the Bucs in the past and with a healthy CMC headed into this year he'll look to regain form. The Niners are a bit thin at WR but as long as Kittle is healthy for this matchup it shouldn't matter. This is likely the most lopsided loss of the season for the Bucs, unless the Niners catch the injury bug again. San Fran is well coached, has ample time to prepare and Tampa will be coming back from a west coast game, all things that aren't favorable. We'll need to play to our highest potential to be competitive in week 6. Jake Moody missed like 9 field goals in last year's matchup, otherwise it would have gotten ugly.

Prediction: BUCS LOSE 28-18

Week 7
at Lions
The Buccaneers have a few really tough back to back this season and this is the first of them. They matchup well with Detroit and have played them as tight as any team over the last two years, winning last season at Ford Field during the regular season. A game in which wild man Dan Campbell kept the Bucs in due to his propensity to pass on points and continuously go-for-it on seemingly every 4th down. The Lions more than doubled the Bucs total yardage in that game. It's tough to predict how the Lions will fare after losing their OC and DC to the Bears and Jets. Logic would tell you that they'll take a step back, but this is still a high powered offense with a lot of talent on both sides of the ball. This could be around the time where Chris Godwin starts to become relevant for the Bucs again off his gruesome injury last year. If Godwin is back healthy TB's offense will surely rival the Lions in this potential shootout. Even without him in the lineup I think we edge out a victory on the road in week 7.

Prediction: BUCS WIN 35-27

Week 8
at Saints
New Orleans projects to be one of the worst teams in the league but ya never know on ANY GIVEN SUNDAY a surprise upset could happen. But Willie Beaman isn't walking through that door. First year HC Kellen Moore is in a tough spot at QB, he's likely set to shake, rattle and roll with Spencer Rattler, which is a matchup Todd Bowles dreams of having.  I know it's a new season but considering RB3 Sean Tucker had 200 total yards last season in NOLA this one should be a lock. The back end of the TB schedule is much more forgiving than the early portion is, so it'll be all about surviving without Wirfs and Godwin and hopefully the Bucs will get healthier as the season progresses.

Prediction: BUCS WIN 24-13

Week 9
BYE

FIRST 8 GAMES: 5-3

ASSESSING THE BUCS DEEPEST AND THINNEST POSITION GROUPS ON OFFENSE

This is the most LUXURIOUS offense in Buccaneers history, yes I said it. Tom had some HOF caliber pieces but not this positional depth at the skill positions. Tampa also happens to have the most well educated OC in the league calling the plays, a valedictorian from Lizard Lick, NC who attended both Yale and Duke. Dude is WICKED SMAAAHT, TB fans should prepare to forget all about that turncoat Liam Coen. Leader of the offensive juggernaut, Josh Grizzard has ALL the weapons that a NAVY SEAL could dream of. Rumor has it that he'll study tape for up to twenty hours a day, eat your heart out Jon Gruden. He will have no shortage of instruments to conduct the beautiful symphony that will be the 2025 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Offense.

WE ARE DEEP

RB
Maybe the most versatile RB group in the league. Bucky Irving aka THE BUCK TRUCK 🚚 earned the number one spot after a phenomenal rookie season in which he eclipsed over 1,500 total yards with the majority of his touches coming in the final eight games. RB1B Raachad White is an elite pass catcher, he totaled over 1,000 scrimmage yards and led the NFL in receiving TD for RB's hitting pay-dirt six times. Sean Tucker is one hell of an RB3 and showed it in week 6 at New Orleans when he went nuts for over 190 scrimmage yards in a Bucs blowout win. My pick for the fourth back is Josh Williams, a rookie from LSU who is a UNIT (5'9 210). He runs angry up the middle giving me some Alstott vibes but also looks good catching the ball. At the very least he needs to be on the practice squad, he looks the part of an NFL back.

WR
Mayfield made water into wine last year with the injuries we had at this position, fingers and toes crossed for better health in 2025. Mike Evans is the most prolific receiver of this generation and is only half way to Jerry Rice's unbreakable records. Which is mind-bending considering Rice and Evans are the only two wideouts to record 11 straight 1,000 yard receiving seasons.

Chris Godwin is forever a fan favorite and has a new, big contract but has an uphill battle in his return from a gruesome leg injury last season, I'd say he's headed for the PUP list and will miss at least the first four games of the season. Which will allow rookie Emeka Egbuka to get plenty of reps early in 2025, every report about EE from the Pewter Palace has been gleaming thus far.
When Godwin is healthy opposing DC's will be up all night trying to figure out how to slow this passing attack down.

Jalen McMillan had a nonexistent (120 yards over the first 7 games) start to his rookie season but stepped up in a big way after Godwin went down, catching 7 TD's over the last 6 games. Ideally he's our starting slot WR but can also play some Z too. Rounding out the group is vet and Baker favorite target from college Sterling Shepard. Trey Palmer will likely make the final roster but has been bit dinged up in camp. The Bucs will likely carry seven wideouts so predicting that last guy is a bit of a toss up, Ryan Miller was reliable when called upon last year and Rakim Jarrett stretches the field but always seems to be battling an injury. Tez Johnson has the most long term potential but will likely start the season on the practice squad. Todd Bowles has already said that picking the final WR spots will be his toughest decision going into the season, it's a good problem to have.

WE MIGHT BE THIN (no ozempic needed)

QB
Protecting Baker will be paramount to our success, but that goes without saying. Without Wirfs to start the season the Bay will need to run the rock often and get the ball out of Bake's hands quickly to insure his health. I'm in the camp of Kyle Trask can't keep the pirate ship afloat, so it's nice to see TB addressed that by signing Teddy Bridgewater last week. I was originally going to suggest a potential reunion with JW3 (preparing for a backlash for this idea) as our backup if need be this season but Bridgewater has proven to be more than adequate when called into spot starting duty. Nancy Pelsoi clap for Jason Licht on this one.

OL
This is where things get dicey, the Buccaneers are already heading into the season without All-Pro LT Tristan Wirfs. Outside of the starting unit, TB has minimal starting experience so if injuries happen, it could fall apart quickly. Recently signed RT Mike Jordan (51 starts) leads the way, much maligned LT Charlie Heck (23 starts) will start in Wirfs place temporarily and Sua Opeta (10 starts) who hasn't played since 2023 round out the guys with any real experience. Cody Mauch, Ben Bredeson and Graham Barton combined to only miss one game last season which will be absolutely necessary in 2025 to keep the continuity rolling and keeping Baker upright for the Bucs.

DRAFT TAKE: GENERAL MANAGER JASON LICHT PUT TOGETHER A MASTERFUL CLASS

We've come a long way from the days of Vernon Hargreaves and Roberto Aguayo (Sorry for bringing that up). Bucs GM Jason Licht has been building a talented roster via the draft, year by year and this might be his best work yet.

Emeka Egbuka 1st round (19)

Many people were shocked by this pick but with Mike Evans turning 32 this year and Chris Godwin coming off a horrific leg injury, adding a starting caliber receiver was necessary. Egbuka had a stellar career at Ohio State and will likely be a week 1 starter in the Z position for Tampa Bay. EE has received one glowing review after another from players and coaches at One Buc Place thus far. From rookie mini-camp to training camp, he continues to impress everyone, which is always what you want to hear about your first rounders.

"The way he came in and his approach and how he grasps everything and runs the right routes and sticks his face in there to block and he's been very professional in his technique," Bowles said. "He does all the little things."

I was told by an OSU homer that Egbuka is a better version of Hines Ward which is quite the hot take, but an exciting one to dream about nonetheless. Finishing his college career as the ALL TIME leader in receptions at OSU and 2nd in yards is an impressive pedigree, I think he's going to compete for NFC OROY. The idea of Evans, Godwin, Egbuka and McMillian along with our stable of backs has me salivating. Currently his odds are around 30/1 so throw some cheddar on that futures bet, I've got $3 to win $93.

Benjamin Morrison 2nd round (53)

He's got all the measurables, size, speed and production, Morrison brings VERSATILITY.  He would have been a first round pick if not for a hip injury that cost him 10 games last year. Has great awareness when the ball is in the air, NFL Network legend and former Raiders GM Mike Mayock would say he's got great hip and ankle flexion, he can guard the opponent's #1 WR and can also come off the edge on a blitz. He locked down Marvin Harrrison Jr (30 yards) when they matched up in 2023, the tape from that game sold me on B-Mo, guy is big time. McCollum seems to be our number one corner but Dean might need to look over his shoulder because this rookie is coming for him. YouTuber JustBombProductions labeled Morrison as "the human seat belt" which is definitely an apt nickname.

Jacob Parrish 3rd round (84)

My FAVORITE PICK Licht made this year. Parrish is going to be our 2nd starting corner longterm, might start the season at nickel but he's better than DEAN already. Size is what slotted him into round 3 but he's an instinctive player who's going to see time right off the bat. First thing that jumps off the screen when watching Parrish is tackling ability and closing speed. HC Todd Bowles gushed about Parrish in this quote from camp.

“It’s hard to say he’s grown because he’s been good since the first day he’s gotten here,” Bowles said of Parrish after practice. “You know, we correct him very little, and that’s a scary thing, especially for me. We don’t say his name much because he’s always doing the right thing."

He's got a nose for the football and had an incredible 50 tackles last year at Kansas State. THE first guy to the ball on gang tackles and on tape he gets into the backfield bringing down big-time running backs like Cam Skattaboo, who's a load. Parrish might be a CB but he plays with the mentality of a LB. LOVE THIS PICK #LICHTYEARSAHEAD

David Walker 4th round (121)

Baffled that he was still available in round 4. Yes, he's a small school guy and a bit undersized but Walker was a 3x conference DPOY, the resume is highly impressive and so is the tape. He EXPLODES off the ball and flashes against top level opponents (Oklahoma State and Ole Miss). Reminds you a bit of Haason Reddick who the Bucs signed this offseason, fans have been yearning for a feared pass rush and it looks like we might just have it this year. Yet another versatile football player which seems to be a theme for Tampa Bay in this draft. Todd Bowles has so many new chess pieces on defense to utilize this year and I'm expecting a dominant unit this season. UPDATE: Absolutely brutal news, Walker will be redshirting this season due to a torn ACL suffered during training camp.

Elijah Roberts 5th round (157)

This is a large man, GREAT HANDS, he uses his hands incredibly well to rip through the arms of OL and QB's, has a great stutter step move as well. He's quick for his size and is very polished for a 5th round pick. Began his career at Miami then transferred to SMU and made an immediate impact with 18 sacks in the past two years. Adds more depth to a very talented defensive line group and could see rotational play early on.

Tez Johnson 7th round (235)

My nickname for Tez is "the illusionist" because when he has the ball in his hands it's magic. Not often do 7th rounders make an immediate impact but Tez isn't your typical final round pick. I'm hoping he's the Bucs week 1 KR/PR but could start on the practice squad before being elevated at some point during the year. By NFL standards he is small (5-9 154lbs)  and slow (4.6 40 yard dash) but he plays fast, he's quick and explosive, has great juke moves and protects himself well. Not scared to go over the middle and can take a 5-yard pass and turn it into a 35 yard gain. Flat out impressive production for a player who has physical limitations, in two seasons at Oregon he caught 169 passes for roughly 2,000 yards and 20 TD's.
